MISSION, VALUES, AND VISION STATEMENT
Mission. The mission of the Promise Land Community Club is to preserve the heritage of this once-self-sufficient and predominately-African-American community. We are dedicated to maintaining & supporting the upkeep of the St. John Promise Land Church, school building, and their surrounding grounds, for the purpose of preserving the historical significance, as well as providing a place for worship & fellowship for residents of the community and its surrounding areas; and for former residents, their families, and their friends when they return to visit.
Values. The Promise Land Community Club values faith in God, as well as the faith & endurance of our ancestors, along with the rich heritage of our community. We further value good health, education, the welfare of self and others, and the love & devotion of family, friends, and community.
Vision. The Promise Land Community Club will serve as a model for other early African-American settlements. Descendants of original settlers will take pride in the legacy of strength, courage, and fortitude left by their ancestors. They will instill this same pride and dedication in their children, and their children will pass it on for generations to come. The legacy and heritage of Promise Land will live on and on.

Membership
Membership in the Promise Land Community Club is opened to all (current and former) residents, their children, grandchildren, etc. Also, extended family, friends, and anyone else who feel a kinship to the community, its mission, values, and vision, can feel free to join!
Membership Donations
$25 per year. Payment window of July-April of each year.
2007/2008 Pay between July 1, 2007 and April 30, 2008.
